How We Work: Practical Consulting: Consulting rigour, without the consulting overhead.

We work with startups and small and mid-sized businesses. We start with your business problem, draw on frameworks the best consultancies rely on, and turn them into outputs you can act on. Then we build, launch and keep improving.

Built for growing businesses

The rigour of a large consultancy

Structured problem solving and proven frameworks, so decisions rest on evidence and clear reasoning rather than opinion.

The pace of a small team

Experienced people do the work, process stays light, and AI takes the repetitive load.

One team from decision to launch

Strategy, design, technology and growth sit in one team, so the recommendation and what you launch never drift apart.

Five principles behind every engagement

  1. 01Start with the real business problem

Before we suggest anything, we work with you to understand what is holding the business back. Together we write the problem statement and agree how success will be measured.

OutputA one-page problem statement and success measures.

  2. 02Use what is proven

We don't reinvent the wheel. We draw on established frameworks from strategy, marketing, design and technology, chosen for your problem rather than applied by habit.

OutputThe approach we recommend and why it fits.

  3. 03Combine them into something you can use

Frameworks are the means, not the deliverable. We mix and match them to produce something tangible: a decision, a plan, a design or a working product.

OutputDeliverables your team can put to work straight away.

  4. 04Keep process light

Our team has worked inside large companies and startups, in India, Australia and international markets. That experience tells us which process earns its place and which is overhead. Clear owners, regular reviews and a record of decisions, and nothing more.

OutputA simple plan with owners and review points.

  5. 05Launch early, then improve

We get the most valuable version live, measure how it performs and improve in short cycles. We innovate frugally: reuse what works, simplify the need and build only where it is justified.

OutputA live product and the next set of priorities.

  6. The 7 Islets loop: define, choose, combine, launch, measure, improve, then define the next step.DefineChooseCombineLaunchMeasureImproveLive sooner, then better

Proven frameworks, chosen for your problem

These are some we use often. Each is picked for the question in front of us, and you get the output, not a lecture on the method.

Strategy and market entry

Issue trees, Porter's Five Forces, the Ansoff Matrix, TAM, SAM and SOM, and Playing to Win.

You getA recommendation and a plan to act on it.

Brand and content

The Golden Circle, the brand pyramid, StoryBrand and topic clusters.

You getPositioning, messaging and a content plan.

Product and experience

Jobs To Be Done, the Double Diamond, design sprints, the Kano model and RICE prioritisation.

You getTested designs and a prioritised backlog.

Technology and AI

Build, buy or partner decisions, AI use-case prioritisation and agile delivery.

You getAn architecture and a delivery roadmap.

Growth and measurement

AARRR metrics, Google's HEART framework, OKRs and Core Web Vitals.

You getThe measures that matter and a way to track them.

Entering a new market, for example, might combine PESTLE, market sizing, segmentation and a go-to-market canvas into one entry recommendation and launch plan. Cybersecurity work runs through Bravewall, our cybersecurity business.

How a project runs

You review and approve at the end of each stage before the next begins.

  1. Discover

Your goals, customers, market and current experience, shared in a workshop. Output: the problem statement.

  2. Define

Options compared, outcome, scope and success measures agreed. Output: a decision brief and plan.

  3. Design

Journeys, wireframes and prototypes, tested before they are refined. Output: approved designs.

  4. Build

The agreed solution built in reviewed increments, with manual and AI-assisted methods. Output: working software or assets.

  5. Test

The important journeys and quality requirements checked. Output: a record of issues and fixes.

  6. Launch

Release, access, deployment and handover prepared. Output: a live product and the information to run it.

  7. Grow

Results measured against the success measures, and the next improvement chosen with you.

Review gate: agree the output and next decision before continuing.

Working together

We work with you, not just for you. The best results come when you:

  • Share what you have learned: your data, customer feedback and what has already been tried.
  • Workshop with us to shape the problem statement, so it describes your business, not our assumptions.
  • Review, give feedback and approve at each stage, so nothing reaches launch without your sign-off.

In return you get one point of contact, progress you can see, and any change to scope discussed before we act on it.

How a conversation becomes a project

  1. 01A conversation

You tell us the challenge. We ask questions and say plainly whether we can help.

  2. 02A discovery workshop

We work through the problem with you and draft the problem statement together.

  3. 03A written recommendation

What we would do, what you receive and who does what. You decide whether to go ahead.

Lean because of AI

AI is a large part of why we can stay lean. We use it in research, drafting, design exploration, image and video creation, and alongside manual methods in development, so a small, experienced team covers more ground. People direct the work, review every output and remain accountable for quality. Your project information stays within the tools and access agreed for the engagement.

Fast, with quality and security built in

Moving quickly does not mean cutting corners. We test the journeys that matter, design for accessibility and performance, and treat security as part of the build, with Bravewall, our cybersecurity business, involved when the risk calls for it.

Ownership after launch

We measure results against the success measures agreed at the start, then plan the next improvement with you. At handover you own your code, designs and documents. Source files live in version control, we train the people who will run what we built, and ongoing support is agreed if you want it.

Honest about fit

If we are not the right fit for what you need, we tell you early and point you to a better option, whether that is a specialist firm, an off-the-shelf product or doing it in-house.

FAQ

Who do you work with?

Startups and small and mid-sized businesses in India, Australia and beyond, usually when a decision about strategy, product, brand or technology needs to turn into something real.

Isn't framework-led consulting slow and theoretical?

Not the way we use it. Frameworks speed up the thinking because we are not starting from a blank page, and every one has to produce an output you can use.

How much of our time will it take?

Most of it comes early, in the workshops that shape the problem statement. After that it is regular reviews and approvals. We keep requests focused so the work does not take over your week.

How quickly can we launch?

As soon as the most valuable version is ready and you have approved it. We agree the plan and review points in the written recommendation.

Do we pay for frameworks we don't need?

No. The scope follows the problem. We use the frameworks that answer your question and leave the rest on the shelf.

How do you use AI with our information?

Only within the tools and access agreed for the engagement. People review every output and stay accountable for it.

What if you are not the right fit?

We say so early and suggest who or what would suit you better.

What would you like to move forward?

Tell us about the challenge, the people it affects and the constraints you are working within. We will come back with a practical next step.
