Product Design and UX Services in India: Design the task before refining the screen.

We help founders and product teams turn a customer or operational need into a journey people can understand and complete. The work covers discovery, interaction design and the specifications a development team needs. The first scope should name the users, constraints and acceptance criteria.

What does product design cover?

Product design decides what a user needs to know, compare and do at each step, then shapes the screens around that. 7 Islets designs web and mobile products, customer portals, dashboards and internal tools, from the first journey map to a tested prototype.

Start with the task and the uncertainty

Identify the user, the decision or action they need to complete and the information available at that moment. Review the existing journey, support questions and system limitations before choosing a new layout.

Design the whole journey

Map entry points, steps, handoffs and recovery. Include first use, returning use and the exceptions that affect confidence. A payment product needs an honest pending state; an internal tool needs a clear permission boundary. We design for different devices, accessibility and content hierarchy, including error and empty states.

Illustrative example: the same invite-your-team page shown as a labelled wireframe, a finished desktop screen and a mobile screen, with designed empty, error and done states.

Review prototypes against real states

Wireframes and prototypes let us test hierarchy, content and behaviour before development. We check small screens, keyboard use and error messages, and your engineering reviewers confirm what the implementation can support.

What you receive

A journey map, wireframes, a reviewed prototype, reusable components and acceptance criteria. We record decisions and open questions so the build team implements the intended behaviour.

What should you bring?

A current product walkthrough, customer or support questions, available state definitions and the task you want to improve. We agree access, review responsibilities and the depth of discovery before we begin.

How does a product design engagement run?

We start with a short discovery: a walkthrough of the current product, the support questions that keep coming back and the task you most want to improve. Next we map the journey and agree which states matter. Then we design and prototype the key screens, review them with your product and engineering leads, and refine. The engagement closes with a design record and components your developers can build from, and we stay available to answer questions during the build.

Dashboards, portals and internal tools

Most B2B design work is not a landing page. It is a dashboard someone opens every morning, an admin screen that approves requests or a portal customers use to track an order. We design these around the decisions people make: what needs attention now, what can wait, and what happens when data is missing or late. Tables, filters, permissions and bulk actions get the same care as the headline screens.

UX audits for existing products

If the product is live and something is not working, an audit is the quickest way in. We review the key journeys against real usage, support tickets and accessibility, then give you a prioritised list of fixes with the reasoning behind each one. Many teams fix the top items themselves; others bring us in to design them.

FAQ

Can you work with our existing design system or developers?

Yes. We review what exists, work within established components where they hold up, and agree who designs, who builds and who approves.

Do you design dashboards and admin tools?

Yes. Dashboards and internal tools are among the most common briefs we take on. We design around the decisions users make, with clear empty, loading, error and completion states.

Do you also build what you design?

Yes. Web and App Development can take the design into a working product, or we can hand over a design record to your own team.

What does a UX audit include?

A review of your most important journeys, accessibility checks, a look at support and usage data where available, and a prioritised list of issues with recommended fixes.

Do you design mobile apps as well as web products?

Yes. We design for web, mobile web and native apps, and agree the platforms and devices with you at the start.

What would you like to move forward?

Tell us about the challenge, the people it affects and the constraints you are working within. We will come back with a practical next step.
